When I established VEVCO INC in 1983, after working for several years at a very large business forms company, I wanted to break through the bureaucracy that stifled my relationship with customers. I wanted to apply my knowledge and abilities to become an independent business partner; by meeting customers' needs instead of mandated sales quotas, and providing the highest manufacturing quality available instead of the "product of the month".
In addition, personal service is very important to me, so I have built a company that takes pride in the way it serves its customers by putting the customer first.
Since our beginning, VEVCO has been providing the quality and service that our customers need and expect, to our mutual satisfaction and benefit.
I would like to share with those of you who visit our web site the following philosophy about life from Chuck Swindoll, President of Dallas Theological Seminary, that I have embraced in my own life.
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on my life. Attitude, to me is more important than ability. It is more important than the facts, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do. It is even more important than appearance, talent or money.
Attitude will make or break a company or a family. And, the remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace that day.
We cannot change our lot, and we cannot change the fact that people will react in a certain way. The only thing we can do is to play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And so it is with you and me....we are in control of our attitude.
